  • Strategy
    Develop short and long term Procurement strategy to achieve the company vision and implementation of the same
  • Financial
    Ensure improvement in profitability by adopting cost optimization methods in overall functioning of department
  • Customer
    • Ensure relationship management with suppliers/ customers
    • Ensure high level of Customer Engagement 
  • Internal Process
    • Ensure development of low cost outsourcing options
    • Ensure Vendor development and supplier evaluation being done to meet desired service level
    • Review techno-commercial evaluation and Negotiation for the procurement and negotiate to ensure cost effective procurement
    • Ensure statutory compliance with respect to procurement process as a whole

  • Critical Tasks
    • Scrutiny of Proposals with BOQ, Vendor selection, Creation of RFQ, Floating of Enquiry, Techno - commercial comparison & Effective Negotiation. Preparation of NFA & arranging its approval from all the hierarchy w.r.t value. Preparation of LOI/ SAP PO/ SAP WO order with all the effective terms & conditions 
    • Working knowledge of SAP - end user experience of processing MM module (SAP R/3 ECC 6.0)
    • Vendor Development: - New Vendor registration through SAP ARIBA & also dealing with the DATAGURU portal.
    • Manpower Contract like (ADMN., Security, Production, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Store Dept.), All the Service Contracts, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, AMC, Repair & Maintenance, Procurement of Material related to HR & ADMN, Safety & all the local requirement of consumables & spares 
    • Projects and Operations related procurements.
    • Cost Optimization: - Remain strongly focused for cost reduction & cost control for Procurement & all contracts.
    • Ensure cost control measures adopted during the negotiation & Peer Analysis for feasibility & transparency during the negotiation.  
    • Expediting for timely delivery of items.
    • Stakeholder Management
  • Decision making authority (Decisions expected)
    • Finalisation of techno-commercial evaluations and selection of vendors for projects,  operations, and plant requirements.
    • Commercial negotiation outcomes, including price, payment terms, delivery schedules, LDs, and contractual risk clauses.
    • Approval of vendor empanelment, de-empanelment, performance corrective actions, and blacklisting recommendations.
    • Decisions on sourcing strategy (single vs multiple sourcing, local vs strategic vendors) to ensure continuity and cost optimisation.
    • Endorsement of NFAs, LOIs, POs, WOs, and contracts within delegated financial limits.
    • Decisions related to outsourcing models, service contracts, and manpower contract structures.
    • Approval of inventory norms, reorder levels, slow/non-moving stock disposal recommendations.
    • Ownership of statutory and audit-related compliance actions in procurement and contracting, including corrective measures.
    • Prioritisation decisions during material shortages, delivery delays, and vendor escalations impacting project timelines.

Job Title - Sr. Manager - Finance & Accounts
Department - Finance & Accounts
Reporting To - Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Job Purpose
To manage the Finance, Accounts, Treasury, Taxation, Budgeting, MIS, and Audit functions of the organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, effective fund management, and robust internal financial controls while supporting business operations and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Finance & Accounting
    • Ensure accurate maintenance of books of accounts in compliance with applicable Accounting Standards and company policies.
    • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
    • Review journal entries, general ledger, reconciliations, fixed assets, inventory accounting, and provisions.
    • Ensure proper accounting treatment of capital expenditure, borrowing costs, leases, and other significant financial transactions.
    • Support preparation of financial statements and schedules for statutory reporting.
  • Budgeting & MIS
    • Assist in preparation of annual budgets, business plans, and financial forecasts.
    • Monitor budget versus actual performance and perform variance analysis.
    • Prepare periodic MIS reports, dashboards, and management presentations.
    • Provide financial analysis to support business planning and strategic decision-making.
  • Treasury & Cash Flow Management
    • Monitor cash flows, working capital requirements, and liquidity planning.
    • Ensure timely debt servicing, interest payments, and compliance with financing arrangements.
    • Monitor fund utilization and support treasury operations.
  • Taxation & Regulatory Compliance
    • Ensure timely compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, Professional Tax, and other applicable financial regulations.
    • Review tax returns, reconciliations, assessments, and statutory filings.
    • Coordinate with tax consultants and regulatory authorities during assessments and audits.
    • Ensure proper documentation and availability of eligible tax credits and statutory records.
  • Audit & Internal Controls
    • Coordinate statutory audits, internal audits, tax audits, and other financial reviews.
    • Strengthen internal financial controls and ensure adherence to established policies and SOPs.
    • Monitor timely closure of audit observations and implementation of corrective actions.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the finance function.
  • Project Finance & Business Support
    • Support project financing activities, including preparation of financial models, project cost estimates, and lender information requirements.
    • Monitor project expenditure, funding utilization, and project cash flow.
    • Provide financial evaluation and analysis for new projects, investments, and business initiatives.
    • Support industrial park and infrastructure development projects from a financial perspective.

Educational Qualification

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred.

Experience

  • 6-10 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounts.
  • Experience in infrastructure, industrial parks, manufacturing, real estate, or project-based organizations will be preferred.
  • Exposure to treasury, taxation, budgeting, financial reporting, and project finance is desirable.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (AS/Ind AS, as applicable), financial reporting, and statutory compliance.
  • Sound understanding of taxation, treasury, budgeting, and financial analysis.
  • Working knowledge of project finance and banking documentation.
  • Proficiency in SAP and advanced Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and project-oriented environment.
